Students take turns reading the number, then stacking it into a Power Tower. The cups are stored in a Pringles chips tube. I have also made a set for sight word practice Students select addition flashcards, then show the addition problems using Unifix cubes.

They use 2 different colors, one for each numeral. This provides a great visual for the two numbers being added together. Very effective, hands-on learning!
