Wwe ppv live updates

None of it really serves any kind of purpose. Sure, it leads to a sort of entertaining chaos but there's no story holding it all together. And the chaos was absolutely entertaining, even if certain superstars probably should have lasted longer How do you give King Woods the boot that early?

If this match did anything, though, it showed how much of a player Austin Theory can be on the main roster. Not only did he last longer than surely anyone expected, he eliminated Sheamus from the match.

Ultimately, these matches are about brand supremacy and it's obvious even those involved don't care about that. Kevin Owens talks out of the match, while Sheamus took out his own partner in Jeff Hardy. If you want us to believe that this battle for brand supremacy was real, couldn't you have at least tried?

In the end, Seth Rollins was the sole survivor. It makes the most sense, I guess, since he's the most defined and highest-elevated member of the WWE roster that's not a world champion at this point. I just wish it had meant more. Mat: This is The Rock's 25th anniversary battle royal, at least that's what the commentary said. On the entrance ramp, there's two picnic tables with red boxes on them.

What is happening? Wait, it's Pizza Hut pizzas? Yes, I'm writing this in real time as I watch it. They're really packing in that revenue, eh? Sami Zayn is the only person who has some sort of understanding of representing your brand and trying to win one "for the team. Poor, poor Sami. Look, I liked this match. I like battle royal matches. But I was increasingly annoyed by the fact it was just a giant ad for Pizza Hut.

Also, NFTs or whatever. Chris: This portion of the review is also brought to you by Pizza Hut, even though they haven't paid me anything or given me any pizza. What on earth is going on here? This might mean something if The Rock were on the show, but he's not. Seriously, what does the winner get? It can't be brand supremacy because superstars are attacking people from their own brands. Will the winner of this match be crowned the new The Rock?

Cause if so, my money is on Mr. Charisma himself, Omos. This was actually a very fun match with some pretty entertaining eliminations. He also gets all of the Pizza Hut to himself. Good for you, Omos. This entire thing was very stupid, even though it had some fun moments.

But hey, the Street Profits got to throw pizza at the audience and who doesn't love pizza picked up off of the floor of Barclays Center?

The nerve. Mat: Matt Riddle is a pretty great wrestling, but I'm not a fan of the "bro" gimmick. The Usos are a top tier tag team--of all time, nonetheless. What you have when you combine all of this is something I'm not invested in, no matter how many "RKOs out of nowhere" the match contains--there was one.

It was a fine match, but I just never felt that connection to any sort of story--something I feel like I've said a million times tonight so far.

One half of the equation isn't there, and after Survivor Series is over, nothing about this match will matter. Chris: All there is to say about this match can be summed up in how invested we are in it. But I have zero interest in this match. So much so that I just looked at my partner and realized neither of us were really paying attention.

There are no stakes, there is no story. It's the problem with practically every match tonight. It just becomes more and more evident as the night goes on. Even when Lynch was in control, Morgan managed to frustrate her, including by kicking out of an exploding suplex at one point.

Lynch briefly locked in an armbar, but Morgan was able to counter into a pin before also hitting a facebuster for a near fall. Moments later, Morgan nearly scored the win with a sunset flip powerbomb. Morgan got a measure of revenge on Lynch for past assaults when she trapped Lynch's arm in the ring steps and landed several stomps.

This set up another Rings of Saturn, but Lynch countered with a pin. Things broke down slightly late in the match. Morgan doesn't do "mean" very well and her attack on Lynch's arm wasn't convincing and the final counter into the Manhandle Slam was far from smooth, as was the fact that Lynch was clearly supposed to win by having her feet on the ropes but couldn't manage to reach.

Still, this was a perfectly serviceable match, if not up to the levels of most big spotlight matches for women in WWE. Becky Lynch c def.

Liv Morgan via pinfall to retain the title. Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar: Rollins and Owens tried to team up on Lesnar from the opening bell, but Lesnar hit both men with a series of German suplexes before Big E jumped in the ring and took Lesnar out with a pair of clotheslines. After driving Big E into the ring post, Lashley speared Lesnar through the ringside barricade. Rollins and Owens teamed up to first take out Lashley and then Lesnar, with Rollins holding Lesnar down outside the ring while Owens came off the apron with a frog splash.

The duo then drove the ring steps into the heads of Lashley and Lesnar. The announce desk did not make it far into the match, with Big E using a uranage to drive Lashley through it. Lesnar eventually made his way back into the match, hitting Rollins, Big E and Owens with F-5s before turning into a spear from Lashley for a near fall. This match went about miles per hour from the opening bell and that made for an extremely good time.

Unfortunately, shooting the belt to Lesnar, who was not even in the match hours before the show, is the kind of decision that is hard to justify. Lesnar vs. Reigns in a title vs. If you were going to have Big E's reign end, it could have easily happened without him having to eat the pin.

Still, the match was a truly wild and fun ride. Brock Lesnar wins the title by pinning Big E. TheGlamazon has seen enough!

There's the crowbar. There's the pole. NO ONE is on my level. End of story. New User posted their first comment. Log in. Tune in next week for the start of the Men's Dusty Classic. This is Matt Serocki, signing off for this week! Santos Escobar defeats Xyon Quinn by pin. Cameron Grimes defeats Damon Kemp by pin. Tony D'Angelo defeats Pete Dunne by pin. Boa vs. Solo Sikoa ends in a double count out. AJ Styles defeats Grayson Waller by pin.

Styles and Knight hug each other before celebrating in the corner as the show goes off the air for this week.

Styles takes the mic and says Waller was good but not Phenomenal. He then says he wants to introduce Waller to one of his friends, and out comes LA Knight.

Waller had attacked Knight before stealing his car a few weeks ago. They had to make someone so unlikable in order to get them to cheer Knight. I think it was accomplished cuz the CWC was cheering for Knight. Both men are on the top turnbuckle but Styles drops Waller.

He hits the Pele Kick and a brainbuster. He lines Waller up for the Phenomenal Forearm and hits it for the win. Waller gets one near fall and another after a LowDown variant move. He lines Styles up for a Styles Clash but Styles hits him with a back body drop. Waller goes for a Phenomenal Forearm but Waller rolls out of the ring. He hits his rolling Cutter for a two-count.

He lines up for another one but Waller rolls out of the ring. He goes for his flying elbow drop but only gets a two-count. Waller goes for a splash but Styles evades it. He rolls into the Calf Crusher but Waller gets to the ropes. After holding Styles in a Cravat in the middle, Styles recovers and hits his combo of strikes before a sliding forearm.

He hits another forearm in the corner before hitting a shoulderbreaker. He hits a Phenomenal Forearm on Waller in front of the announce table. Waller gets control for a few moments and lands some weak chops in the corner. Styles knocks Waller out of the ring with a dropkick. She then chased Maryse around the ring, which distracted The Miz long enough for Edge to hit a spear for the 3 count. Backstage Drew McIntyre was getting interviewed about his match earlier in the night with Moss, giving credit to Moss and Corbin for being tougher than they look.

As he was saying that, Moss and Corbin attack McIntyre. McIntyre tries to fight back, but the numbers advantage gets the better of him. What have Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss done?!?!

Happy Corbin put a chair around McIntyre's neck and then smashed it with part of the pipe structuring that makes up the stage. Vintage RandyOrton WWEDay1 pic. This match was slightly odd because Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford worked as heels. They didn't cheat, but their attitude and mannerisms were definitely heelish.

And you know what? It fit them surprisingly well. The most memorable part of the match was the finish: Ford went for a top-rope move on Orton, but Orton dodged and Ford rolled onto his feet and hit the ropes. On his way back, he was caught by Riddle who chucked him up into the air -- where he was snatched by Orton with an RKO.

Madcapp Moss and Happy Corbin came out for some very cringe attempts at comedy -- people in Georgia are fat, Drew McIntyre's prom date looked like a goat and so on -- before Drew McIntyre hit the ring for their bout. They had a basic, fine match, but at 11 minutes it went too long. Madcap came out with Happy Corbin looking like a comedy character, so it was hard to take him seriously against a headlining act like McIntyre.

I expected the match to be over quickly, but it went on and on. Highlights include a big belly-to-belly suplex from McIntyre to Moss on the outside, and Moss later running at top speed into the middle turnbuckle in a somewhat scary spot. In the end, McIntyre hit a Claymore Kick for the win.

The match began with commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee talking about how these teams know each other so well since they've been wrestling for over a decade. That's a good encapsulation of this match: it was good, but nothing special since we've seen it so many times.

He eventually got into a slug fest with Jey Uso in the ring, then tagged in a newly refreshed Kingston. There came a great spot when Kingston setup Jey for the Trouble in Paradise, but Jey caught him mid-spin with a superkick. He tagged in Jimmy, who hit a top-rope splash for a great nearfall.
